Manage and advise
on the company's legal affairs regarding ship/sale purchase (SNP), charter
party contracts, claims, vendor agreements, ship financing, and other
commercial matters.
Provide
comprehensive legal advice to departments such as Trading (S&P),
Operations, Chartering, and Finance, including general corporate and commercial
advice.
Oversee
litigation management of contentious disputes, collaborating with an external
panel of legal counsels and law firms across major international shipping
markets for ongoing and developing arbitration/court proceedings matters.
Conduct
compliance and regulatory due diligence, offering sanctions advice on
counterparties, vessels, and corporate authorities. Identify, analyze, and
assess legal and compliance risks, both contractual and regulatory.
Requirements
University degree
in Law (LLB). A postgraduate degree (LLM) with specialization in Maritime Law or any other related field will be considered an advantage.
4+ years of
previous experience in a similar in-house role or experience in a private
practice law firm.
