Job DescriptionBusiness development position serving as a business development analyst for the Maritime Integrated Air & Missile Defense (IAMD) market segment within the Multi-Domain Combat Systems (MDCS) market segment. This role will focus on opportunity development related to the expansion of Surface Navy Combat systems, rapid combat system capability deployment, and combat systems market expansion efforts towards new and Joint (US Army, US Marine Corps, etc.) customers.
In doing so, the successful candidate will:
• Support and pursue strategies resulting in advancement of Integrated Combat System, Aegis Weapons System, and Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) capabilities, development of rapid combat capabilities including easier integration of new and novel integrated air and missile defense effectors, broad integration of artificial intelligence / machine learning technology, application of Aegis in new mission areas, and implementation of Aegis in different form factors and virtualized instantiations.
• It will also focus on achieving growth via novel and asymmetric means for the Multi-Domain Combat Systems (MDCS) market segment through successful partnerships with our wide customer base and industry partners.
• Build and maintain trusting and productive relationships with customers, influencers and key opinion leaders – including but not limited to Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS), OPNAV, Naval Surface Warfare Dahlgren Division (NSWC DD), Program Executive Office Ships (PEO SHIPS), The United States Coast Guard, the United States Army, the United States Marine Corps, and others.
• Develop strategic business intelligence including customers, competitors, and industry partners.
• Work with the Lockheed Martin Advanced Concepts and Lockheed Martin Artificial Intelligence Canter on strategic transitions of products/franchises as their technologies mature.
• Manage Win Plan components, NBF resources, and Capture Team support for business development responsibilities.
• Interface regularly across the LM enterprise to achieve business goals – including but not limited to other RMS Lines of Business, other LM Business Areas, LM Government Affairs (LMGA), and the Corporate Engineering and Technology Office (CETO).
• Provide timely and high-quality staff work, including but not limited to presentations, white papers, activity reports, meeting notes, call plans and trade show support.
Basic Qualifications• Experience in business development, capture management, and/or program management.
• Experience in and success participating in and winning new business pursuits with the US Navy.
• Extensive understanding of Lockheed Martin win plan, capture process, and business development practices. Experience leading competitive pursuits.
• Experience supporting customer contact tracking, decision mapping, competitive intelligence and customer assessments.
• Demonstrated experience organizing and presenting data to senior/executive management. Communications skills in Power Point, Written media, and verbal presentations.
• Experience in leveraging stakeholder functional organizations: Program Management, Engineering, Sustainment Operations, Contracts, Business Ventures/Offset, and Legal
• Active Secret Clearance (interim acceptable)
Desired skills• Understanding of the Integrated Combat System, Aegis Weapons System, and SSDS architecture, functionality and capability, and development processes
• Established relationship with LM ICS, Aegis or SSDS program office and Navy, MDA, and USMC customers
• Familiarity with Digital Transformation and DevSecOps principles Established relationship with LM ICMS / MDCS program office
• Established relationship with key PEO IWS, NSWC DD, Navy customers/labs or any relationship with other Joint DOD branches like the US Army and Marine Corps
• Leadership experience
• Engineering Bachelors/Master’s degree
• Active Top Secret / SCI Clearance

Ability to work remotelyPart-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule InformationLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $128,400 - $226,435. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
