Senior Maritime Innovation Program Manager
THE OPPORTUNITY
As part of our road to becoming a net zero company, we are looking for a Senior Maritime Innovation Program Manager (permanent position) to work in close interface between the RMX Department in Holcim Innovation Center in Saint Quentin Fallavier, France, the Corporate Infrastructure Marketing team in Switzerland and France, and the Coastal Team in the Netherlands (Rotterdam area).
The missions of the applicant will be to:
o Establish innovation opportunities from market analysis and drive accordingly innovation projects to establish key differentiated offers
o Support countries in their Maritime and Coastal projects and in interface with the Marketing Maritime Infrastructure team. Multiply the Coastal solutions across the entire organisation through Holcim Coastal-NL acting as a technical hub
o Lead the innovation projects, according to Holcim’s project management system, with multi-disciplinary resources from the Innovation Center and from the NL-Coastal team
o Develop innovative solutions addressing climate change (solutions for offshore wind, for port infra segment and coastal protection with reduced CO2 footprint over the full lifecycle, promotion of maritime biodiversity, recycling), from incubation to development and scale-up
o Develop prescription selling to Coastal and Maritime companies
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for applicants with a strong sense of curiosity and ambition to make a difference. The applicants shall have the following education, skills and experience:
o Degree in Civil Engineering or Coastal Engineering or Material Science (MSc at least, PhD ideally)
o 5 to 10 years practical experience in Coastal / Maritime domain, including good network to key players
o Excellent communication skills in writing and speaking
o Management skills, results orientation, innovation and collaborative mindset, synthetic mindset
o Fluency in English
o Knowledge of the cement and concrete industry, and/or of contracting industry will be beneficial
FURTHER DETAILS
Location: Holcim Coastal Netherlands (Rotterdam area) with typically 1 week of travel to Holcim Innovation Center in France (Lyon area) per month.
Reporting to Head of Concrete & Aggregates R&D Department
Employment type: Permanent position (CDI) - full-time , split at 80% on R&D program (in interface with Marketing teams and countries) -20% support to Coastal business - daily
Other benefits: Remote work available (1 to 2 days/week)
