Bachelor's Degree required in a technical, engineering or business-related discipline. Minimum of 15 years of increasing leadership responsibility, including demonstrated success in senior-level engineering or business leadership on complex DoD programs. Master’s Degree preferred, either in technical discipline or MBA.
Demonstrated success in growing a leadership team required.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is highly desirable at time of hire. General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Vice President, Engineering for the Maritime & Strategic Systems (M&SS) Line of Business (LoB). The successful candidate will be a member of the M&SS Leadership Team, and report directly to the Vice President & General Manager. You will have full responsibility for the 2000 plus employee engineering team and will be fully accountable for engineering execution within the Line of Business.

We seek a candidate with strong relationships in the nuclear and non-nuclear Navy, as well as the strategic deterrence community supporting both the Navy and Air Force. A Secret clearance is highly desirable.
Preferred candidate must have a clearly demonstrated background developing dynamic leadership teams, building enduring customer relationships, and an ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization.
