Job Description

REPORTING:

Reports to the OIM/Master and the Program HR Manager.

SUPERVISION:

None

Pre-Requisite/Qualification:

Completed 2 years of college related coursework

  • Demonstrate a high level of oral and written communications.
  • Valid medical examination certificates.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

General Requirements

  • Attend and participate in all required Safety and Operational meetings.
  • Communicate "Sea Project / Sea Term Course" requirements to relevant Area Authority.
  • Manage time effectively to ensure full completion of "Sea Project / Sea Term Course" Requirements prior to Disembarking Vessel.

OPERATIONS:

Ensure conformance to Company policies, local and international regulations relating to the operation of the rig, and current pollution regulations.

  • Complete the requirements within the Operation Internship Program.
  • Assist with carrying out periodic maintenance according to AIM guidelines and coordinate that maintenance with supervisors and other department heads.
  • the permit to work and isolation systems as required.

HSE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Protect personnel, the environment, and assets by eliminating hazards and reducing health and safety risks.
  • Understand Company OI & HSE requirements applicable to the job position.
  • Execute work in accordance with Company OI & HSE requirements.
  • Call a Time Out when a real or perceived at risk behavior or unsafe condition is observed.
  • Use WorkSight ENGAGE during the execution of planned work.
  • Report all incidents, potential hazards, or abnormal situations to a supervisor.
  • Incorporate the Control of Work process into all work, whether working alone or as part of a team.
  • Understand and implement major accident barriers / controls applicable to the job position.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work area throughout and on completion of all work.
  • Understand your role in an emergency, as designated in the Emergency Response Plan and Station Bill.
  • Participate in all emergency drills and exercises, as required.

PERSONNEL:

  • Meet the training requirements according to the applicable training matrix.
  • Maintain discipline onboard and ensure compliance with Company disciplinary procedures.
  • Represent the relevant Maritime Academy with Distinction while employed with Transocean.
  • Communicate regularly with HR Program Manager: Sea project progress, offshore experience, and address concerns immediately.
