You will also collaborate alongside with UK Border Agency (UKBA) and SB Police enhancing security ports to ensure the safety of both passengers and vessels.

Key Details:

• Hours: 38.5 hours per week⏰
• Shift Pattern: Days, nights and weekends🕒
• Salary: £11.75 per hour💰

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct equipment searches to prevent prohibited items from being taken through the Port.
• Perform X-ray screening and bag searches
• Carry out vehicle and freight inspections
• Manage access controls to the Terminals
• Assist customers with queries and support their journey through the Port
• Review and follow security notices, documenting incidents clearly and accurately
• Respond to and provide assistance in emergency situations
• Conduct regular patrols to ensure all areas are secure
• Attend to and investigate reports of incidents

Job Essentials:

• SIA licence
• Driving licence with access to your own vehicle/good transport links
• A full 5-year checkable work history
• Shows a can-do attitude and is flexible
• Trustworthy and reliable
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Collaborate successfully as part of a team
• Adhere to site guidelines, policies and procedures
• Maintain high standards of security at all times
