Description

The HR Data Business Analyst plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between human resources (HR) processes, data, and technology. 

They provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise to enable business strategy within the Global Maritime People Function.

In this new role, you will be able to help shape and enhance People Data Analysis for DNV Maritime.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Insights:

  • Analyze HR data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements based on data analysis.
  • Assist in making informed decisions by translating data into actionable insights.
  • Using and combining data to create business value (storytelling)

Process Optimization:

  • Collaborate with HR and IT teams to understand business needs.
  • Gather requirements and implement solutions to enhance workflow efficiency.
  • Educate stakeholders on the benefits and limitations of technology solutions.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Partner with internal business users to identify information needs.
  • Evaluate alternatives and implement solutions.
  • Engage with a spectrum of HR personnel to ensure effective communication.

Project Management:

  • Develop and maintain project documentation.
  • Work closely with Information Technology and Software Development groups.
  • Execute systems initiatives and provide solutions to business users.

Global Perspective:

  • Understand the objectives and priorities of the organization.
  • Advise the business on regional and global requirements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education: 

A relevant degree such as Bachelor’s or College Degree in Business, Computer Science, Education, Statistics, Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, Mathematics, Information Systems, or Economics.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in SQL and statistical analysis using tools like Excel and PowerBI
  • Familiarity with HR systems beneficial (e.g., Oracle HCM Cloud) 

Experience (Desired):

  • 2-years work experience
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
