We are seeking a Seafarer Evaluator to support our client in Dulles, VA. please see below to find the job description and desired qualifications;
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
To provide management, direction, and quality control of Seafarer’s Certification & Documentation (SCD) personnel and SCD activities according to policies, rules and regulation of the department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the SCD data staff and SCD production process
- Develop and implement annual, quarterly, and monthly management plan to meet departmental goals
- Advise clients on the safest most economical means of applying for crew certifications
- Coordinates IT upgrades and system maintenance
- Examine incoming applications and supporting documentation IAW STCW 95 Code, 1978, as amended and Liberian law and regulations
Manages assigned collateral duties including, but not limited to:
- QA on ISO 9001-2015 requirements
- Manage Time Clock as necessary
- Review consumables, maintain document pipeline, and manage staff to meet client requirements
- Performs other duties and projects as required
GENERAL QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES:
Experience,Educationand Certification
Bachelor’s degree in Marine discipline required, Master’s degree preferred. Additional continuing formal education desirable
5-10 years of Administration experience

USCG Officer’s license or equivalent experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Advanced knowledge of computer databases, applications, and hardware
- Microsoft Office applications
- Use of general office equipment
- Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Ability to work hours outside or in addition to normal business hours
