We are looking for a Project Manager Consultant to support our new and growing customers in maritime sector. Key domain would be Smart Port but portfolio can grow either in width or depth among customers. 

 

Our main goal is to achieve business goals. The management complexity of projects is to navigate the (customer) business domain and ensure return of investment of the project by keeping the project within scope, cost and schedule. Business results also mean becoming strategic partner for customer not only in current project but also proactively searching additional upsell and cross-sell opportunities and turning these into real projects.

 

Locations we are looking at:

Responsibilities

Our Business Goals:

  1. Covering delivery perspective in approaching new customers (incl. participating in bid management process).
  2. Ensuring customer satisfaction and strategic partnership position for Nortal – upsell and cross-sell opportunities created and turned into projects.
  3. Achieving projects targets in terms of revenue & profitability.
  4. Improvement of team satisfaction, that is measured through the engagement surveys (eNPS) and direct feedback.

 

Responsibilities 

  1. Creating expertise in the domain and market to become subject matter expert in customer relationships and projects. 
  2. Active participation in bid management process together with sales managers and delivery team.
  3. Stakeholder management: 
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, understanding their requirements and ensuring their satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as development, infrastructure, and quality assurance. 
  • Foster strong relationships with external partners (e.g. hardware providers) and manage their deliverables to align with project objectives. 
  1. Project Planning and Execution: 
  • Planning and staffing solutions for consulting and software development related initiatives and activities. 
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. 
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, roles and responsibilities and budget estimates.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and take proactive measures to mitigate them. 
  1. Budget and Cost Management:
  • Develop accurate project cost estimates and manage project budgets effectively. 
  • Track project expenses, analyze budget variances, and implement corrective actions when necessary. 
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements without compromising project quality.

Qualifications

  • Successful professional B2B consulting experience, preferably in software related sector. 
  • Great communications and stakeholder management skills, towards both customer, team and other partners.
  • Strong at scope, schedule and risk management.
  • Good understanding how to manage the whole customer relationship cycle processes from discovery to delivery.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate risks. 
  • Proficient in time management and adept at thriving in dynamic environments.
  • Fluency in English both verbal and written. 

  • Additional language skills (Scandinavian, French, Spanish) is nice-to-have.
  • Additional strengths: experience in maritime/transport sector, experience in hardware related projects.
  • Readiness to travel on-site (mostly Northern and Western Europe).
